The Tale of Two Viruses: Part 18

Let’s start off with this ominous quote by Dr. Devi Sridhar, an American who is a professor of global health at the University of Edinburgh.

“What’s happened in the U.S. is utterly tragic, and seems like a consequence of appalling leadership and incompetent government. Those of us abroad are watching in horror, disbelief and pity.”

The man who was going to Make America Great has made America pitied. Now that’s a campaign slogan the Biden campaign should jump on!

To make it even more dreadful, the president has decided to make another run at ending Obamacare! Fuck the fact that millions more will be without healthcare in the middle of a pandemic. If the Don put half the effort he uses to erase Obama to vanishing the virus, America would not have to be pities. But the man who has no value for any human life, save his own, has decided it is time to go in for the kill on Obamacare.

I’m not sure what is more disturbing, The Don’s push to have the Supreme court end Obamacare, without any plan to replace it; the Republicans silence about it or the fact that people are incredulous that he is doing it?  (Fact is that almost 500,000 people who have lost their healthcare during the pandemic have recently signed up for Obamacare.)

What do you call a man who tries to take away healthcare in a pandemic?

What do you call a man who decides that he will defund testing programs in the some of the states with the greatest spikes of Covid-19 cases?

I call him evil. I call him heartless. I call him a murderer. I call him amoral. I call him delusional, if he thinks this is his path to re-election.

I have been using those words to describe him for a long time. The fact that the Republican Party still supports him in his evil endeavors makes them complicit in murder.

Notice that the spikes in cases are almost all in Red states that opened up too soon? All these governors are also complicit in the unnecessary and tragic death (perhaps 100,000 more to come) because they followed the lead of a know nothing, incompetent, science denying, self-aggrandizing, delusional fabulist who actually believed that ignoring the pandemic and opening the economy would work better his chances of reelection.

Here is the delusional Don:

Coronavirus deaths are way down. Mortality rate is one of the lowest in the World. Our Economy is roaring back and will NOT be shut down. “Embers” or flare ups will be put out, as necessary!

The pandemic rages on. Hospitals across the South and Southwest are reaching maximum capacity; for the last number of days, we have had a record number of cases. Governors in a few states have had to reverse course on their reopening and more are sure to follow.

This is what happens when you politicize a pandemic. To reiterate a point, a point that clearly the president and vice president do not get or care about, is that the virus doesn’t have a favorite color; it likes blue and red the same. It’s not like a little kid who tells you that his favorite color is blue! Blue America was first-the hope was that other states would learn from the devastation in New York- and now it is Red America’s turn.

The pandemic task force led by Mikey, I Call My Wife Mother, Pence,” is as Groucho Marx said; “a travesty, of a mockery, of a sham!”

Pence continued to make false statements in his last press conference.

“As we stand here today, all 50 states and territories across this country are opening up safely and responsibly.”

Um, a five Pinocchio!

“We flattened the curve.”

Mother of Mikey, please teach your son/husband what a curve is. The country is depending on you.

“We want the American people to understand it’s almost inarguable that more testing is generating more cases. To one extent or another, the volume of new cases coming in is a reflection of a great success in expanding testing across the country.”

Another 5 Pinocchio.  Russia has ramped up its testing to about 300,000 a day in recent weeks from about 200,000 in May. But its positive rate has continued to hover at around 3 to 5 percent.

Russia, Russia, Russia. A little detour is in order.

What have you been up to, Mother Russia? All this pandemic and protest stuff has taken you away from us. But wait, I think you are making your return. Not only in your known attempts to tamper with our election, but is it true that you paid bounties to soldiers from Afghanistan to kill Americans stationed there? And that the president knew about this? And that the president, given a number of options of responses, has done nothing? And that after you still wanted Russia to be part of the G-7? So I ask again: What does Vlad have over you?

Now back to another mother, the head of the pandemic, “Mikey, Who Calls His Wife Mother, Pence.”

Seems that Mr. Pence has as much trouble saying the word “mask” as he does “Black Lives Matter.”

Come on Mikey, even “Mitch, The Grim Reaper, McConnell” and “Dick, I Go Hunting and Shoot My partner in the Face and Say, Shit Happens Cheney,” are talking masks.

But Mr. Mikey, The Don’s got your tongue. Did you ask mother about it?

Reporter: Mr. Vice President, can you tell us why you never tell Americans to use masks?

Reporter: I bet you can’t even say the word mask out loud.

Pence; Of course I can. Mmmmaaaa. Mmmmaaa ass. Mmmmaaa ass kkkkkkkkk. See I said it.

Reporter: The best you could do was say your mama’s ass?

Pence: I asked mother and she said I should do what father tells me to do.

Reporter: Father?

Pence: The President.

Reporter: Is mother having a relationship with father?

Pence: (Turns Red) I won’t dignify that question with an answer. Well, I will say one thing: I don’t think that mother is the president’s type.

Reporter: That sure is comforting, Mr. Vice President. But the country wants to know what mother thinks about what Americans should do to be safe. After all, mothers knows best.

Pence: Yes, mother is very wise. Mother thinks we should brush our teeth at last 3 times a day to get out any virus particles.

Mother thinks we should say our prayers three times a day.

Mother thinks we should stay six feet apart and that is an easy one for us, because we rarely are that close because mother fears I will jump her bones when I get a whiff of her scent.

Mother thinks we should be concerned about other people.

Reporter: So that means she must believe you should wear a mask, as that is the way we stop transition of the virus.

Pence: But father tells me that if I ever said that word that he would find another running mate.

Reporter: So you are a child stuck between his mother and father.

Pence: Yes, it is a difficult position to be in.

Reporter: Not so sure I agree with that, Mr. Vice President. One is asking you to tell the American people to protect each other and the other is saying who cares if people die. Seems like a no-brainer to me.
