The Dark Knight Vs. The Prince of Whiteness

Barack Obama’s reemergence on the political scene has the makings of a new super hero masterpiece: “The Dark Night vs. The Prince of Whiteness.”

If you recall, the 2008 film, “The Dark Knight” pits Batman against The Joker, the evil menace maniacally portrayed by the sadly deceased Heath Ledger. In this new version, the “Dark Knight” is up against an orange-haired raging clown that runs around screaming “No collusion, no collusion!” and “I know flippers.”

The Don and his administration have done everything they can to erase and de-legitimize Obama’s presidency. It started with the lie and promulgated mythology of the “birther” conspiracy and has continued relentlessly in an attempt to eradicate any and all of Obama achievements, to rid the country of his dark stain.

The White Supremacist president, flanked by his minions, was hoping the Pulitzer Prize winning tabloid, The National Enquirer, would publish the headline: Trump Makes Obama Disappear: America Never Had a Black President! Unfortunately for The Don, David Pecker, the publisher of the tabloid is cooperating with Robert Mueller’s investigation and has a safe full of documents to share that are potentially very damaging to The Don. In his daily rants in the White House the raging clown refers to, David Pecker as a “low life Peckerhead!” How ironic that a man who took liberties with women and threw his pecker around will be exposed by a guy named Pecker. You can’t make this shit up!

Listening to Obama address our troubled times with eloquence, grace and thoughtfulness, from a place of compassion and an ethical center, was a thing of beauty. Two thumbs up for a president, who can speak in full sentences, create a cohesive narrative, and not spend half the time either disparaging someone or talking about how great he is.

Unfortunately, for The Don, The “Dark Knight” has arrived on the scene and is shining a light on the darkness the “White Prince” has created.

The “White Prince” has been a divider; the “Dark Knight” was and still is a unifier.

The “White Prince” plays on people’s fear; the “Dark Knight” speaks of hope.

The “White Prince” bans Muslims; the ‘Dark Knight” made a speech embracing Islam. While The Don trashes NATO and alienates our allies, Obama was granted the Nobel Peace Prize for his “extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.”

The “White Prince is besieged by scandal; the “Dark Knight’s” tenure was scandal free.

The ”White Prince” believes climate change is a hoax and has stated the U.S. will withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord (technically the U.S. can’t officially withdraw until 2020, making us the only country not to participate); the ‘Dark Knight” was a strong supporter of it and realizes that failure to deal with this issue will have devastating consequences for the planet.

With Obama a real presence in the 2018 elections the “White Prince and the “Dark Knight” will be squaring off, trying to get the vote out.

I am sure, on the surface, The Don relishes Obama’s decision to break with protocol and take him on. The Don loves a good fight. But on a deeper level, his attempt to erase him has failed and “The Dark Night” has returned to take on the man who tried to vanquish him.

Now The Don has to see Obama on TV, cutting in to his domination of the news. Now he has to watch someone who said “How hard is it to say that Nazis are bad?”

The Don’s response to Obama’s first speech was dismissed derisively. (Sleep quote)

But not so fast, “White Prince.” My money is on you hanging on to his every word. That you are obsessed with him and that he will haunt your dreams.

So let’s play it out. Let’s bring them face to face.

The Don: (Brings out a photo of his inauguration crowd) I had so many more people than you. Your crowd was small, small, small. Loser crowd.

Obama: How are those hands of yours doing?

The Don: I’ve had more women than you could ever dream of!

Obama: By the way, how’s that thing with Stormy and Karen McDougal going?

The Don: More people voted for me than any other president!

The Don: Sad, Donald, sad. In 2012, I received 3 million more votes than you and so did Hillary.

The Don: That’s because millions of people vote illegally and so many blacks came out to vote-that’s not fair!

The Don: What about my infrastructure bill?

Obama: You mean all the detention centers you have built along the border?

The Don: When we win this midterm election we are finally going to get rid of Obamacare.

Obama: I think one of my favorite moments in your presidency was when John McCain gave the thumbs down. You must have been howling like a crazed coyote over there in the Oval office.

The Don: He’s dead, not much of a factor the next time we vote.

Obama: Donald, I just saw a report that says that despite your attempts to dismantle the Affordable Health Care Act, it is doing well and premiums in many places are going down. And Donald, why are you so against people getting good healthcare?

The Don: Who cares! When the red wave comes in 2 months Obamacare will be history. Kaput! Kapow!

Obama: When the blue wave comes, Obamacare will remain vibrant and your presidency will be history. Kaput! Kapow!’

The Don: No more pre-existing conditions!

Obama: Thousands will die.

The Don: That’s their problem. I like healthy people. And this Puerto Rico thing is a joke. It’s just made up to make me look bad. In fact, Breitbart tells me you are the one who started this conspiracy theory.

Obama: Sad, so sad. No humanity, no humanity. When the blue wave comes, the American people will have spoken. And it will be, to quote you: “a beautiful” thing. And it will be a beautiful irony as well as “The Prince of Whiteness,” who did everything in his power to vanquish the “Dark Knight” will be vanquished by him. And you my dear “Prince of Whiteness” will forever be known as the dark stain that needs to be erased.
